Project travel for groups
Using our wider expertise in the travel industry and voluntary sector, Travel to Grow has been coordinating group travel to projects across the world since 2012.
Case study: World Vision Germany
Our partnership with World Vision Germany is one example of a successful collaboration, connecting World Vision sponsors to the international projects they donate to. The concept was designed by the Travel to Grow founder, Isabelle Klümper, from conception to delivery and we have now run dozens of trips to projects across the world.
World Vision’s main area of work centres on child sponsorship in worldwide development projects. When sponsoring a child, the individual sponsors are regularly updated on the growth of the child, as well as the wider progress in the child’s village that sponsorship is also contributing to. The aim of World Visions group trips for sponsors is to bring sponsors closer to the meaningful work taking place in these projects.
Our trips also give visitors unforgettable impressions of the country, people and customs they visit. Above all, it enables them to meet the child they sponsor – an amazingly memorable experience for both the sponsor and the child.
In-keeping with Travel to Grow’s philosophy, these group trips for sponsors build cross-cultural bridges, create a deeper understanding of people and their needs in the projects, and promote personal development through a breath-taking travel experience away from the conventional tourist routes.
We have organised group trips for World Vision to countries including Bolivia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mongolia, Peru, Sri Lanka and Tanzania, plus many more.
For group trips such as this, Travel to Grow can:
- Select appropriate destinations and dates, plan and prepare the logistics in both the home and destination countries, and organise the itineraries and programmes.
- Create and disseminate marketing materials to invite participants on planned trips, in partnership with the client.
- Take responsibility for the communication between the client, local staff in the destination countries and the respective tour operator(s).
- Liaise with, advise and provide support to the travel participants, as well as aftercare and evaluation of the trips.
